SYRACUSE — The Shenendehowa boys basketball team was nearly flawless in Day 2 of its trip to Onondaga Community College for the Hoops for the Hospital Tournament.

After blowing past Baldwinsville on Saturday, the Plainsmen made quick work Sunday of Auburn, as Shenendehowa (8-0) was a 69-27 winner.

Junior guard Kevin Huerter scored a game-high 20 points for Shenendehowa and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

Meanwhile, senior forward Thomas Huerter scored 13 points and was an all-tournament selection. The Plainsmen also received nine points from senior forward Brandon Fischer and eight from sophomore guard Luke Hicks.

Auburn received eight points apiece from Hakeem Ali and Trevor Ash.
