CLIFTON PARK — Here are three things to know for today about Shenendehowa athletics:

1: In a matchup Monday of state-ranked squads, the Shenendehowa softball team took a tough loss to Columbia, 10-3. The defeat likely means the Plainsmen will be the No. 2 seed for the Section II Class AA postseason tournament.

2: Both Shenendehowa lacrosse squads are in action today at Ballston Spa. Both the Plainsmen boys and the Plainsmen girls topped Ballston Spa the first time around this season.

3: The Shenendehowa boys track and field team heads to Shaker today for a league meet. Friday, the Plainsmen will play host to their own invitational.
