CLIFTON PARK — Here are five things to know for today about Shenendehowa athletics:

The Shenendehowa baseball team stayed perfect in Suburban Council action Wednesday with an 11-4 victory against Ballston Spa. In the win, pitchers Bryan Warzek and Nik Malachowski combined to allow one earned run while striking out 15. At the plate, Connor Douglas went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Joe Fraser also had a pair of RBIs.

After a loss Monday, the Shenendehowa softball team bounced back Wednesday with a 13-3 thumping of Ballston Spa. In the victory, Sadie Evans had three singles and scored three times, Ashley Sisto tripled and had two RBIs, and Kelly O’Gorman had two hits.

Major matchup today for the Shenendehowa girls lacrosse squad. The Plainsmen travel to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake and will get a firm grip on the top seed for the Section II Class AA postseason tournament with a win.

After a false start earlier this week, the Shenendehowa unified basketball team will make its debut today at Ballston Spa.

The State Assembly honored the Shenendehowa boys basketball team Wednesday for its state championship victory. The Plainsmen finished their season 25-1 and won their program’s first state title since 1987.
