CLIFTON PARK — Here is what you need to know for today about Shenendehowa athletics:

YESTERDAY’S SCORES

No games, matches, or meets yesterday, but last week saw a bunch of teams get going.

The golf squad won matches against Averill Park, CBA, Columbia, and Niskayuna; girls’ tennis topped Queensbury, 9-0; and, the girls’ volleyball team was a 3-0 winner against Saratoga Springs.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

Well, there’s a bunch.

Let’s start with the Shenendehowa girls’ volleyball team’s win against Saratoga Springs, where Julia Paliwodzinski had 25 assists, six digs, and five aces; Nicole Adams added 12 kills; Hannah Elmer collected four kills and three blocks; and, Charlotte Macken picked up 18 digs.

Then, for the red-hot Shenendehowa golf team, Paul Liguori, Tommy McPartlon, Mason Munger, and Mike Ross each took turns being the top player for the Plainsmen in a 4-0 week.

TODAY’S TOP GAME

Well, today’s only game in town is the Shenendehowa girls’ tennis team’s matchup with Niskayuna, so this is an easy pick. The Plainsmen make their league debut today, the first of three matches this week for the squad.
