ONEONTA — Rachael Shine, a Clifton Park native and Shenendehowa alumna, was named the SUNY Oneonta Athlete of the Week for the first week of February.

Shine, a junior, led Oneonta’s indoor track and field teams at Boston University’s Jan. 30-31 Terrier Classic. In the 800-meter run, she broke her own SUNYAC record with a time of 2:10.25 to finish 13th overall and first amongst collegiate runners.

As of Feb. 1, her time in the 800-meter run was the fastest in Division II for the 2015-16 season.
