CLIFTON PARK — A new health food option is gearing up to open on Clifton Country Road on May 31.

CoreLife Eatery, a Syracuse-based chain that specializes in vegetables and organic, healthy meals, will occupy a 3,500-square-foot space at 11 Clifton Country Road, according to the company website. It will open at 11 a.m.

It will be set up in the same style as other “make-your-own” restaurants, such as Chipotle.

The space is part of a new mixed-used development near the Hannaford supermarket.

The chain does not sell soda, chips, desserts or anything fried. Instead, it offers bowls filled with greens, grains and different types of noodles. Customers can also choose to add chicken or beef to the bowls.

The restaurant offers custom soups and a variety of gluten-free options.

CoreLife will offer both dine-in and take-out options, free WiFi, on-site parking, outdoor patio seating, online ordering and mobile app ordering.

CoreLife plans to expand to 300 locations, including both corporate and franchise restaurants, nationwide over the next five
years.
