CLIFTON PARK — Healthy restaurant CoreLife Eatery opened in Clifton Park on Thursday with little fanfare, but a steady line of customers already at the door to buy lunch.
The chain opened the doors to its 3,500 square-foot Clifton Country Road location at 11 a.m. CoreLife is located in the busy town center.
CoreLife Eatery, a Syracuse-based chain that specializes in vegetables and organic, healthy meals. It is set up in the same style as other “make-your-own” restaurants, such as Chipotle.
Nicole Arnow, of Glenville, and Rebecca Caton, of Clifton Park, were the restaurant’s first customers. They had just come from the gym, and said they were grateful there was a healthy option in the area.
“We’re always looking for the healthy option,” Caton said.
Arnow said the grain and vegetable bowls offered by the restaurants are much more convenient than making them at home.
“It saves me from meal prepping for the day,” she said.
CoreLife is open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant offers online ordering via a cell phone application.
