Security agencies deployed at Amritsar Airport have recovered a cache of medicines and Malaysian currency worth Rs 1,04,313 from two foreign-bound passengers. A case has been registered against the passengers under the NDPS Act and they have been arrested. According to Customs spokesperson, Sandeep Singh was going to Bangkok via Air Asia flight number – D7189. When the luggage was screened, capsules and pills were found. Sandeep told during interrogation that another passenger named Danish was going to board the same flight with him and he was also in the airport hall. Thereafter, Customs 1 team traced Danish and searched his luggage and recovered medicines, drugs, oils, liquids, brown colored unbranded powder and pills.
