Fed up with his in-laws, the young man committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan. Pyara Singh, resident of Lal Bagh Colony, has told that elder son Basant Singh (28) was married to Khushpreet Kaur alias Khushi, resident of village Ageta, 3 years ago. After marriage, Khushpreet Kaur used to fight with Basant Singh on the instigation of her mother Jeet Kaur and maternal uncle Karmjeet Singh, due to which there was often discord in the house.
Relatives had warned Khushpreet, his mother and maternal uncle several times, but they did not desist from their actions. Basant Singh started becoming mentally disturbed due to fighting all the time at home. On the complaint of the deceased’s father, the police have registered a case against the deceased’s wife, mother-in-law and maternal uncle-in-law.
