CLIFTON PARK — Sophomore forward Sydney Brown helped to lead the Shenendehowa girls basketball team to a 60-35 victory against Troy in non-league action Tuesday night.

Brown scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Plainsmen, which improved to 7-0 on the season. Helping out, too, was junior guard Carly Boland, who was a perfect 6 of 6 from the foul line during the course of a 15-point night for Shenendehowa, while she also added nine rebounds.

In all, nine different Plainsmen scored for head coach Joe Murphy’s club, which had a 15-point lead at halftime.

Kianna Patterson led Troy, which moved to 3-4 for the season, with 14 points.

The Plainsmen next play this weekend in the Amsterdam College Holiday Showcase at Amsterdam High School.
