Public Safety Committee reviews implementing body cameras for police

BALLSTON SPA- Clifton Park Town Supervisor Phil Barrett, who is also the Chair of the Public Safety Committee of Saratoga County, discussed the potential for body cameras to become a prerequisite equipment item for all Saratoga County Deputies.

A subcommittee, consisting of 10 individuals, will review the possibility of implementing these body cameras. There are many factors they are going to consider such as positive attributes, concerns people have, storage and use of data relating to investigations, policies and procedures with camera use and the experiences of other police departments.
