Clifton Park — Bowman Orchards of Rexford has teamed up with Petuske Produce of Halfmoon to create a joint farm stand at the corner of Grooms and Moe Road in Clifton Park. The farm stand is easy to spot thanks to an old cart with the words Bowman Orchards scrawled on it at the intersection.

The folks at Bowman Orchard call the produce stand “the Farmer’s Wagon.”

“It’s brand new for us this year!” said Katie Bowman. The local apple orchard co-rents the property at the corner of Grooms Road and Moe Road with Petuske Produce.

“After a few weeks being open we decided to demo the old stand and build a new stand a bit farther back off the road to allow for more parking, and to make the location a bit safer away from the road!” said Bowman.

“So far we have been happy with the new adventure and hope to improve more and more each year!” she added.

Bowman  said the joint farmstand has been in the works for years.  “ We have been friends with Petuskes for years, and have been talking for a long time about running a stand together if we ever had the opportunity,” she said.

“The owners of the property contacted Rick Petuske earlier this year as they were hoping to get a fresh new vendor in their location for this season, Rick in turn contacted us and we put the plan in motion!” added Bowman.
