Clifton Park — Saratoga County’s Sheriff Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles after a string of reported break ins over the weekend.

In addition to locking vehicles, Sheriff Zurlo recommends hiding valuables that may be inside the vehicle, especially during the holiday season.

The Sheriff’s Office reportedly received eight separate complaints involving break ins in the towns of Clifton Park and Halfmoon on Saturday, December 3. All eight incidents involved stolen purses. The investigation into these cases remains active and there is no suspect as of Tuesday, December 6.

“Residents are reminded to secure their valuables in their trunk or to not leave valuables in their

car. Sheriff Zurlo would like all residents and visitors to enjoy this holiday season, so please be safe,” according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office.
