Girls Basketball: Plainsmen get back to winning ways against Averill Park

CLIFTON PARK — After suffering its first loss of the season earlier this week, the Shenendehowa girls basketball team bounced back Friday with a 72-50 victory against Averill Park.

Carly Boland led the Plainsmen (12-1, 9-1 Suburban Council) with 24 points, six steals, and five rebounds. With her 24 points, Boland is now nine away from 1,000 for her career.

Also for the Plainsmen, Erin Hulbert had 12 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists, while Samira Sangare had 11 points and Sydney Brown had eight.

Rachel Apfel led Averill Park with 11 points.

Shenendehowa outscored Averill Park by at least seven points in each of the first three quarters.
