Samsung Rolls Out One UI 8 Update for Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung has commenced the global rollout of its One UI 8 update, based on Android 16, for the Galaxy S24 series, including the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The update, which began in South Korea on September 22, 2025, is expected to reach other regions, including the U.S., in the coming days.

  • Enhanced Multitasking: A new 90:10 split-screen ratio allows users to run two apps side by side, optimizing screen real estate for better productivity.

  • Now Bar and Now Brief Enhancements: These features provide real-time app activity, media player progress, and personalized daily updates, including traffic information, reminders, and health insights from Galaxy Watch.
  • Security Upgrades: The update includes advanced security features to protect user data, aligning with Samsung’s commitment to privacy and data protection.

Samsung has also extended the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy S24 FE, with the rollout beginning in South Korea. This move underscores Samsung’s dedication to providing timely software updates across its device lineup.

For users in India, including Chandigarh, the update is anticipated to arrive shortly. To check for the update manually, navigate to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
