Chandigarh | The Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities has canceled 22 fake SC certificates. These certificates have been canceled on the recommendation of the Vigilance and Scrutiny Committee. The certificates are from 2021 to 2023. The department had to take action after the members of Aarakshan Chor Pakdo Morcha warned of Punjab bandh call. The front had handed over a list of forged certificates. Among the canceled fake certificates, 12 are from Patiala alone. Apart from this, 1 certificate is included from Ferozepur, 1 from Fazilka, 1 from Mohali, 1 from Hoshiarpur, 1 from Kapurthala and 1 from Ludhiana. On Tuesday, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema had asked to settle 93 complaints of getting government jobs on forged certificates in 15 days.
