Panchkula | Operation Smile campaign is being run by the police against human trafficking in April. Under the campaign, missing children as well as missing men and women are being searched. Under this mission, the missing people are searched and reunited with their relatives. Apart from this, bonded laborers and begging children are also rescued. Under the campaign, a total team of 20 members has been formed in the district. The team is running an awareness campaign against human trafficking across the district. On Wednesday, DCP Sumer Pratap Singh held a meeting with police officers and team members under Operation Smile. During the meeting, the DCP said that the team should take the help of NGO and find the children who were separated from the family. Said that after identifying the children who beg, those who beg will also be monitored. Panchkula Police has so far rescued 22 people.
