In a fortunate turn of events, all 52 children on board a school bus were reported safe after the bus got stuck in the Bist Doab canal in Jattan. The bus, with the registration number PB 08-BQ 9209, belonged to Sant Baba Bhag Singh Public School. According to available information, the bus lost control and ended up hanging on the side of the canal.
As news of the incident spread, concerned people and relatives of the children quickly gathered at the scene. The bus was en route to drop the children back to Possi village, having passed through villages like Ema Jattan and Suni. However, when the bus reached near the siphon of Suni, it suddenly went out of control and became stuck in the water-filled canal.
